Achivements
- • Dr. Aditi Smith Gogoi is currently working as an Associate Professor, Department of Tea Husbandry & Technology at Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat, Assam. Besides academics, she has been associated with conducting various training programme for Small Tea Grower of Assam on husbandry practices for tea cultivation and marketing of hand-made and value added tea. The accolades received by her are as follows: 1. Awarded with Young Scientist Award in First International Congress on Cocoa Coffee and Tea Asia, 2018 held on October 17-20, 2018 at Hefei, China. 2. Invited as a speaker for the ‘Advantage Assam’ Sectoral Seminar to deliver lectures on 'Agriculture and Food Processing including organic tea cultivation organized by Federation of Industry & Commerce North Eastern Region, Govt. of Assam. 3. Participated in International Agricultural and Rural Development Course at Cornell University, USA sponsored by Cornell Sathguru Foundation for Development, 2017-18. 4. Member of the Advisory Panel of several post-graduate students of Assam Agricultural University. 5. Guest faculty in Centre for Tea & Agro Studies, Dibrugarh University, Dibrugarh- 786 004, Assam. 6. Resource person of Tea Board, NGOs such as Bal Sakha. 7. Recently has bagged a project on Value addition and Product diversification in Tea, from DBT, as Principal Investigator. 8. Also has been involved as a technical person in a Consultancy project of ‘Save the Children’ on formulation of Code of Conducts for STGs of Assam. Her area of interest included characterization of available tea germplasm for high quality tea production. She is also extensively involve in value added tea production, processing and preservation for augmentation of income of small tea growers of Assam.

- DBT sponsored project on "Sustainable Management of Tea Waste to Transform the Tea Industry into Carbon Neutral and Zero Waste Industry"", project cost Rs.1.28 Crore implemented in 2022.
- DBT sponsored project on "Germplasm characterization, genomics analysis and gene discovery for yeild, metabolite and stress tolerance in tea", project cost Rs.1.25 Crore implemented in 2022.
- Save the Children Bal Raksha Bharat, Guwahati, Assam sponsored project on "Moving towards a sustainable private sector by creating responsible business behaviour in tea industry in Assam’", project cost Rs.3.57 Lakh implemented in 2019.
- DBT sponsored project on "Value addition and Product Diversification in Tea", project cost Rs.1,05,59,291. Crore implemented in 2022.
