Achivements
- Completed the GPS-GIS based soil nutrient mapping of entire Lakhimpur district of Assam under the project entitled "Mapping and soil testing of macro and micro nutrients for precise fertilizer recommendation to the farmers of Assam " supported by RKVY.
- Completed the GPS-GIS based soil nutrient mapping of RARS, North Lakhimpur farm.
- River source wise and depth wise characterization of soil physico-chemical and hydrological properties of selected sand silt deposited areas of Lakhimpur and Dhemaji district have been made and documented . GPS-GIS based maps of soil nutrients of sand-silt deposited study area have also been prepared under the project entitled " Provisioning of Livelihood Security in Sand and Silt Deposited Areas of Assam supported by RKVY.
- Collaborated with the dept. of Energy, Tezpur University as a Co-Principal Investigator in an UGC sponsored research project entitled" Production of Biochar from various biowastes and its soil application for sustainable soil management and mitigation of GHG emission.
- Adjudged best paper in poster section at 27th National Conference of SCSI on Sustainable management of soil and water for doubling farmers' income held during Oct 25-27,2018. The title of the paper was " Characterization of Ipomoea carnea biochar and its soil application".
- Associated as Co-PI in the project entitled “Farmer's Participatory Action Research Project – phase-II”(2011- 12 to 2012-13, Ministry of water resources, Govt. Of India)
- Associated Scientist in the project entitled “ National Innovations on Climate Resilient Agriculture (2011-12 to 2014-15, ICAR-CRIDA)
- Associate Scientist in the Assam Agribusiness and Rural Transformation Project (APRAT) implemented under RARS, North Lakhimpur (2018-19 )
- Served as nonpaid adjunct faculty in the Department of Biological Systems Engineering, College of Agricultural, Human and Natural Resources, Washington State University, Pullman, Washington, USA from 1st Feb 2022 to 31st July 2022. During this period, I worked on " The Effect of Biochar on GHG Emissions and soil Chemical and Biological Properties" under Dr Manuel Garcia-Perez, Professor and chair, Biological Systems Engineering, WSU, Pullman to fulfil the requirements of 6 months of international training under the faculty development programme of the National Agricultural Higher Education Project (NAHEP)implemented by the Assam Agricultural University, India. During this period, I designed a benchtop composting structure for biochar co-composting in an aerated controlled environment.
- Completed NESAC-sponsored project on "Geo surveillance of Agromet Field Units for effective Delivery of Agromet Advisory services" implemented in 2021. as Co-PI
- Completed a district administration-sponsored project entitled "Status of Municipality Solid-Waste Generation in Biswanath Chariali and Strategies of Solid-Waste Management for Biswanath Chariali Municipality Area " as Co-PI during 2020-23

- NEC sponsored project on "Lumpsum Turnkey Contract on Design, Build, installation, commissioning and operation of an Integrated Plant for the Production and Marketing of Agricultural Bio-inputs (Bio- fertilizers & Bio-pesticides) for 5 Years at Biswanath College of Agri", project cost Rs.14.91 Crore implemented in 2023.
