Achivements
  • Some salient research findings: A. Evaluation of Tuberose varieties: Worked as one of the leading Scientists in evaluating the varieties of tuberose, namely Shringer, prajwal, Suhasini and Baibhab and gerbera variety i.e. Red monarch and Arka Nirontara and Phule Rajani The varieties were recommended for Assam and published in the Package of Practices for Horticultural Crops of Assam, during 2005 & Red monarch and Arka Nirontara and Phule Rajani during 2015, published jointly by Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat and Directorate of Horticulture & Food processing, GoA. B. Evaluation of lentil varieties Lentil varieties Moitree and KLS-218 have successfully been evaluated and demonstrated in different districts of Assam and necessary initiatives are being taken for recommendation for Assam under rice based cropping system. Results were included in the Annual Report of KVK, Kamrup. C. Evaluation of turmeric variety: Worked as Principal Investigator to evaluate the performance of Megha Turmeric-1 since 2009. Promoted 10 turmeric villages leading to entrepreneurship development and quality planting material generation. D. Standardization of vermicomposting methods and quality improvement

Krishi Alert Award under the leadership of the undersigned, conferred by Apollo Tyres in 2021 iii. Best Krishi Vigyan Kendra award (Zonal) for the year 2013 for outstanding contribution for developing models of Extension Education and Technology Application under the leadership of the undersigned, conferred by ICAR, GoI. iv. Certificate of appreciation towards large-scale intervention of improved Lentil technologies for increased income and nutritional security of farmers through DAC-ICARDA-ICAR collaborative project under NFSM-Pulses, conferred under ICARDA south Asia & China Regional Program. v. Received certification of appreciation from ZCU, Zone III for outstanding contribution for the farming community of Kamrup district under the leadership of the undersigned. vi. Certificate of Appreciation from Prof. Chin-Tsan WANG, Chair of Taiwan-India 2022Exchange Workshop and Symposium on Intensifying the Connection of Sustainable Technology in recognition of outstanding contribution as the Keynote speaker in Taiwan-India 2022Exchange Workshop and Symposium on Intensifying the Connection of Sustainable Technology. vii. Awarded best KVK in Assam for effective Implementation of CFLD on Blackgram in 2018-19 by ICAR on 31.05.2019 under the leadership of the undersigned. viii.
