Achivements
  • Developed production technology of sunflower in Assam.
  • Distributed “Ranjit” ( Winter rice) “Basundhara” & Disang rice amongst the farmer of all Agro-climatic zones of Assam and developed Rice(w) – Rice(A) & Rice ( W) – Toria/Pea/French bean package for the state of Assam with the help of “ECF scheme under Cropping System research (AICRP)” during 2000-2012.
  • As P.I produced about 101 tonnes of Foundation seeds of Boro Paddy and sold continuously from 2010-2011 to 2019-20 at LRS, AAU Mandira and deposited Rs. 28.40 lakh only to the AAU, Revolving fund a/c.
  • “ Experiment on Cultivators Field”- a component research project of cropping system Research(AICRP) has been successfully completed in various Blocks of 6(six) NARP zone of Assam during June 2000 to May 2012.
  • Growing Boro Rice in Fishpond followed by rearing of carp fishes has been adopted by many farmers in Chamaria Block of Kamrup® districts( Assam).
  • Represented AAU in the “ Santokh Singh Memorial Inter UniversityCricket Tournament held in Dibrugarh in 1983.
  • Played Inter – college Cricket tournament at AAU, Khanapara play ground in 1987-88.
  • Played“ Inter-District Club Cricket Tournament during 1982-1986.
  • Played “ Inter college volleyball Tournament during 1982-83” at AAU Khanapara.
  • The Agricultural Sector of LRS,AAU,Mandira has been commercialized with the development of various orchards like-Cashewnut orchard,Arecanut orchard,Assam Lemon orchard, ‘Litchi orchards’, Bamboo orchard, Coconut orchard and ‘Mango orchards’ during my stay at this station from 2011 onwards and getting more than 2.0 lakh money every year(approx) after selling all agricultural produces.
  • “APSI-Best paper presentation award and Gold Medal” at Shri Mata Vaishno-Devi-University in a National Conference, 2-4th Nov, 2017. The paper was “Response of nutrients on Boro paddy under different land situations in Assam”
  • Fifteen (15) numbers of National Awards ( 9 Gold Medals)
