Achivements
  • Besides, the compulsory mandates of ICAR, I under the supportive guidance of Dr. P. Handique, Sr. Scientist & Head, KVK, Sivasagar, Rohdoi established a Mushroom Spawn Production Laboratory within the office establishment for production of certified mushroom spawns for the well-being of the mushroom growing farmers of the district and it is in a very well running condition since 2019. With the said laboratory, we are not only able to help the farmers of the district but also in a condition to help the farmers of the adjacent districts too. Every year we used to produce on an average of 100 kgs of mushroom spawns (Oyster). Though we are not up to that level of the big mushroom spawn production laboratories in respect of production yet with our timely efforts we are able to bring smile in the faces of farmers. We are trying our level best to uplift the status of our laboratory but it will be more helpful if we could receive more facilities like trained man power for continuous involvement in the lab, well equipped lab equipments etc...
