Achivements
  • Presently working in the capacity of Professor in the Department of Animal Genetics & Breeding, College of Veterinary Science, Assam Agricultural University, Khanapara and actively involved in different departmental teaching, research and extension activities for maintenance of the high academic standards of the department. So far guided three (3) MVSc students as Major Adviser and acted as member of the Advisory Committee of ten (10) MVSc students. Presently guiding two (2) MVSc and one (1) Ph.D. student as Major Adviser.
    Published forty (40) scientific articles, twenty two (22) scientific popular articles and one (1) book on Care and Management of Cow.
    Invited to attend Training course on “Capacity Building for Sustainable Use of Animal Genetic Resources in Developing Countries” held in Kandy, Sri Lanka, organized by International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), SLU and University of Peradenyia, Sri Lanka wef 13.2.06 to3.3.06
    Invited to attend Workshop on “Capacity Building and the Global Plan of Action for South Asia Region” held in Kathmandu, Nepal organized by ILRI wef 16.2.09 to 18.2.09
    One of the research paper was awarded as Best Paper Award in National Symposium of ISSAR held in Nagpur.
    Selected as one of the members of the DBT, Govt. of India’s Task Force on “Animal Biotechnoogy-I” for a period of three (3) years w.e.f. 2017.
    Acted as resource person in various training programmes for SMS, farmers, scientists etc.
    Acted as Prof. In charge of VETCOL, the college magazine for three (3) years
    Acted as Hostel Warden of New Girls’ Hostel, CVSc, AAU, Khanapara for five (5) consecutive years.
    Acted as Editor of the Capt. (Dr.) J. M. Bujarbaruah Veterinary Educational Forum, Guwahati, Assam, a registered Non-governmental Educational Organization established in the year 2010
    Acted as Joint Secretary of Assam Society (Khanapara branch) for two (2) years
