  • Rhino translocation from Kaziranga to Manas National Park in2006 & 2007 as per request of Wild Life Trust of India and Forest Department of Assam is a pioneering work done by the Veterinary Experts Dr. Bhupen Sarma. This works were carried out under the Observation of Dr. Ian Robinson, FRCVS ,IFAW experts USA
  • Radiocollaring of six rhinos prior to translocation from Kaziranga to Manas National Park.
  • Radiocollaring of seven elephants and their translocation from Kaziranga to Manas National Park is a commendable work done by Dr, Bhupen sarma and his team in presense of IFAW experts from USA and Russia. This work was done as per request of WTI and Forest Department of Assam
  • Standardization of the dose of Medetomidine anaesthesia in Asian elaphants is a global record established by Dr. Bhupen Sarma of department of Surgery & Radiology, which is incorporated in" Lumb & Jones International Text Book of Vet Anaesthesia" and also in the book " Biology,Medicine & Surgery of Elephant" by Fowler and Mikota , P 109 & 118 published from USA and also available in google.
  • Third Rhino Translocation following radio collaring from Kaziranga to Manas on 23rd Feb’08 in presence of Dean, CVSc and Ian Robinson, Director, IFAW Boston USA under Medetomidine anaesthesia and two elephants calves under xylazine- Ketamine anaesthesis
  • GOLD MEDAL for Best paper presentation in NationalSymposium ofIndian Society For Veterinary Surgery held in HAU, Hisar on 14-16th Nov 2019 on the topic “ Detomidine – Azaperone-Butorphanol and its reversal with atipamezole Asian Rhino
  • standardization of dose of medetomidine anaesthesia for One horned rhino, accepted in the international Rhino Founadation symposium held at Rotterdam, The Netherland and available in Google
