- Recipient of Assam Agricultural University Gold Medal for securing first position in the B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree programme of 1979-1985.
- Awarded Late Dr. Durlav Chandra Baruah Memorial Cash Prize by Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat for securing the first position in the final B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree programme of 1979-1985.
- Awarded the University Book Prize by C.S. Azad University of Agriculture & Technology, Kanpur, U.P. for obtaining first position in M.V.Sc. in in the subject of Poultry Science in 1987.
- Obtained CSIR Senior Research Fellowship, New Delhi for prosecuting Ph.D. in Poultry Science in the year 1994.
- Awarded Breed Registration Certificate by ICAR-NBAGR, New Delhi for registration of Pati duck of Assam as co-applicant.
- Guided 40 M.V.Sc. and 20 Ph.D. students as Major guide/Member of Advisory committee, Published 98 research papers in national and international journals, Co- authored one text book and one monograph.
- As a Principal Investigator of one SIPRD, Assam funded project and three Non-plan Research Projects of AAU. As Co-Principal Investigator completed eight projects and one more project is continuing
- Recipient of Dr. Bhagabat Panda National Award of Excellence in Poultry Science from Pashudhan Praharee, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India in the year 2022
