Achivements
- In Teaching: 1. Involved in the teaching of UG and PG courses in the Department of Pathology and VCC. 2. Acted as Teacher in charge, of internship training programmes for UG students of the universities of India as well as of Bangladesh. 3. Guiding one MVSc student as a major advisor and member of the Advisory Committee of eleven (11) MVSc students.
- In Research: 1. Reported the incidence of Chicken infectious anaemia in the poultry population of NER for the first time. 2. Presently associated with One Research project as PI funded by ASTEC, three (3) Research Projects as Co-PI funded by DBT and ICAR. 3. Published 27 numbers research articles in different national and international peer-reviewed journals. 4. Submitted 3 gene sequences of CIAV to NCBI with accession nos MH379259.1, MH379260.1 and MH379261.1.
- In Extension: 1. Acted as a resource person, training programme on Clinical training to the paravets of the state of Assam and Sikkim. 2. Acted as resource person in the farmers’- scientist interaction programmes. 3. Published popular articles in the Assamese language in daily newspaper, website and e-magazine. 4. Published 4 leaflets in the Assamese language for the benefit of Farmers.
- In Disease Diagnosis: 1. Part of epidemiological investigation and diagnosis teams on pig mortality in Assam due to African Swine Fever. 2. Part of the investigation teams for diagnosing the cause of mortality in different wild animals. 3. Part of the investigation teams for diagnosing the disease outbreak and rendering consultancy in different Farms.
