The Fish Health Management is more important and good term used in Aquaculture to describe management practices, which are designed to prevent fish disease. The production of cost increased by fish disease outbreaks because of the investment lost in dead fish, control treatment and decreased growth. So, keeping in this view, the syllabi for Fish Health Management has been prepared by ICAR, New Delhi for BFSc, Post graduate and PhD programme have introduced in the syllabi of Fish Health Management courses. The courses of the Fish Health Management were under the Deptt. of Aquaculture till the 5th Deans Committee Report was implemented. The new AAHM department is offering 18 credit hours consisting of 7 courses for UG programme, but PG and PhD programmes are not initiated so far, but the facility is well equipped. A well established laboratory including molecular level of diagnostic facilities are available and students are availing the facilities.
