Assam Agricultural University sponsored project on "Mobile application for identification of Red flags in child development", project cost Rs.276846 Lakh Children grow and develop at different rates. The development pathways may differ for each child, but most children pass through a set of predictable development milestones. Parents and care givers, in monitoring a child's development, must be responsive to any developmental problem or delay in children. There are a few indicators often referred to as "red flags" to identify the behavioral or developmental anomalies of children. Parents and care givers must be aware of these " Red flags" to ensure that the child is on the right developmental path. The sooner the parents identify these "Red Flags" the faster will be the intervention. Awareness of parents and care givers on "Red Flags" of child development is crucial, as whatever the label or type of developmental delay or disability may be, the earlier such delays and disabilities are recognized , the sooner these children, their families and their caregivers can get intervention. So, It is essential to observe the development of each child closely, be sensitive to the symptoms that may be indicative of an underlying development disorder disorder or delay in order to catch them at the earliest.
