The Department of Veterinary
Pathology was established in year 1989 in the Temporary campus Azad, North
Lakhimpur and then shifted to the permanent campus in the year 2014 under the
leadership of Dr. A Mukit, Professor & Head (Rertd) CVSc, AAU, Khanapara
Ghy-22.Since then the Department is associated with teaching and disease
diagnosis of livestock, poultry, pet animals and wildlife through post-mortem examination,
histopathological, cytological evaluation of slides pertaining to various pathological
conditions and maintenance of pathological museum. The Department provides
consultancy services to various agencies and farmers regarding animal health
management.
