The Department
of Animal Reproduction, Gynaecology and Obstetrics is actively imparting UG
education in the field of Animal Gynaecology, Obstetrics and Andrology for the students
pursuing BVSc & AH degree as per the syllabus of Veterinary Council of
India. The department is having well equipped laboratories required for UG
teaching as well as for conducting faculty research. Besides its
academic curriculum, the department used to conduct several infertility
programmes and provides technical backstopping to different infertility related
issues in Veterinary Clinical Complex (VCC) and Livestock Farm Complex for
cattle, goat and pig. The department has a well established frozen semen
storage unit attached to VCC. Artificial Insemination with improved germplasm
of different breeds of cattle and goat is performed which helps in upgradation
of the local stock.
