Achievements
  • Significant Achievement in Research:

    Collection, culture and characterization of Bone marrow derived Mesenchymal stem cell to replace conventional non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID) and antibiotics (which have deleterious effect to the environment) for treatment of surgical and chronic wounds
  • Designing ,Synthesis and Characterization of Antimicrobial Peptides: A number of Antimicrobial peptide has been designed, synthesized and characterized.
  • Development of Molecular Signature for indigenous animals by characterizing mitochondrial 12S rRNA, 16S rRNA and Cytochrome b gene (NCBI Accession No. JQ288741 , JQ288742, JQ 288743, JX464219, JX666612, KC14213, KC142122 and KC142123)
  • Exploration and Exploitation of Innate and Adaptive immune response in Indigenous Duck Breeds for disease diagnosis
  • Exploration and regulation of Cytokine Profiles for Successful Pregnancy and Lactation
  • Excellence and Significant Achievement in Teaching:

    Act as core faculty for teaching/ research in Animal Biotechnology : Working as core faculty in Teaching of Animal Biotechnology since inception (2010-11) of DBT sponsored PG programme in Animal Biotechnology to till date. Syllabus , course curriculum for the PG and PhD programme were prepared, different Classes of MVSc , PhD were taken as per the assignment of Professor and Head and entrance examination were conducted as per the instruction of the authority of the university besides teaching and research activities of parent department. Faculties working as core faculty in the Department of Animal Biotechnology are:
  • Sharing experience and skill achieved in foreign Soil: Contribute to improve by sharing experience and skill earned in abroad with colleagues and students after availing DBT- CREST award and ICAR NAHEP fellowship to complete Post Doctorate and Visiting Scholar at UK and USA respectively.
  •  Commercialization of area specific mineral mixture:

    Preparation of Area Specific Mineral Mixture and Commercialization for different Agroclimatic Zones of Assam (AAUVETMIN)
