Achievements
  • Served as Camp Coordinator (Technical) in a three day Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp (EAC) organized by the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship, Lalmati, Guwahati for the students of C.V.Sc., A.A.U., Khanapara w.e.f. 29-1-07 to 31-1-07.
  • Served as a Convenor in organizing three (3) state level Continuing Veterinary Education Training Programmes of Veterinary Council of India (VCI) on 'Handling of Frozen Semen' w.e.f. 28-1-09 to 30-1-09; 25-2-09 to 27-2-09; and 25-3-09 to 27-3-09.
  • Conducted Short term training on ‘Clean semen production practices’ for Paravets and Laboratory Assistants of Frozen Semen Bull Station, Assam Livestock Development Agency, Khanapara, A.H. & Vety. Dept., Assam w.e.f. 22.02.10 to 26.02.10.
  • P.G. students guided :
    (a) Guided 12 (twelve) M.V.Sc. and 3 (three) Ph.D. students as Major Advisor.
    (b) Presently guiding 1 (one) Ph.D & 1 (one) MVSc. students as Major Advisor.
  • Acted as subject expert for selection of Assistant Professor (Animal Reproduction) of Veterinary Colleges under Central Agricultural University, Imphal at CAU Headquarters, Imphal on 11-8-2019.
  • > From Financial Year 2017-18 to till date (July/2023) quality frozen goat semen comprising 1,31,829 doses of Beetal and 924 doses of Assam Hill Goat was produced under RKVY project "Procurement....................semen collection" of the department and supplied to Assam Livestock Development Agency (ALDA) for utilization in breeding goats in different districts of Assam which earned a revenue to the tune of Rs 33,18,825.00 to AAU.

    > The project is a self-sustaining revenue earning proposition for AAU.

    > Continuous supply of frozen goat semen has resulted in popularizing Artificial Insemination (A.I.) in goat in the state and adjoining areas of Meghalaya which ensured scientific implementation of rapid dissemination of superior goat germplasm.
  • Still continuing to render Honorary Consultancy services to Assam Livestock Development Agency (ALDA), Khanapara, Guwahati-22 since 2021-22 onwards on: 1) Andrological investigation & Breeding Soundness Examination (BSE) of AI Bulls stationed at Frozen Semen Bull Station (FSBS)-Barapetta, Barpeta Road 2) Scientific Handling and Storage of Frozen Semen Straws and 3) Cryopreservation of Goat semen
