Animal Husbandry & Dairying department started functioning at Sarat Chandra Sinha College of Agriculture w.e.f 1st March 2016. This department is offering a compulsory course (AHD-313) for the B.Sc. (Agri.) students.It has an Instructional Dairy Farm and an Instructional Poultry Farm where practical demonstrations are being conducted for the students and the interested farmers as well. Besides this, a goat unit is also established. This department also developed a livestock based Integrated Farming system (IFS) model for the demonstration purpose.
