Horticulture
The Department of Horticulture, SCS College of Agriculture came into existence since the commencement of the college i.e. in the year 2014, after shifting the College at its permanent campus at Rangamati, Dhubri. The present faculty strength in the department is 4 (four). Besides teaching, the faculty members are involved in various research and extension activities. The department offers both compulsory core courses and elective course in UG degree programme as per 5th Deans Committee recommendations. The department is also conducting several research and development programmes. The faculty members are putting continuous efforts to disseminate the generated horticultural technologies to the farmers of the state in collaboration with various KVKs and line departments. The department has a well-equipped laboratory to conduct UG practical classes. Due importance has also been given in generation of quality planting material of various horticultural crops for the farmers and growers of the state for overall development of Horticulture.
