Achivements
  • During my 12 years of KVK service the achievements are as follows-




    1. Conducted 117 numbers trainings including 13 numbers Vocational training and delivered 75 numbers of lectures resource person on different training programme organized by organizations other than KVK, Dhemaji.




    2. Tested 22 numbers of new technologies as On farm trial (OFT) and 57 numbers demonstrations were




    3. Organized and participated in 60 numbers of field day programmes after successful implementation of FLD, CFLD and other demonstration programmes.




    4. Involved in conduction of 45 numbers of awareness programmes, celebration of 50 numbers of important day, 9 farmers-scientist interaction, 80 numbers of animal health camps, 14 numbers of method demonstrations, 12 numbers of Exposure visits for the farmers of district and 12 numbers of Farmers’ Fair/Kisan Samellan/ Exhibitions. Participated in 13 numbers of Radio programmes and a TV programme, 13 numbers of Technology Showcasing/ CFLD programmes, demonstration programmes under AICRPDA, AICRP on Forage Crops and National Initiative on Fodder Technology Demonstration (NIFTD) programmes and documentation of numbers of success stories.




    I. Associated in allotted projects such as i) ACRIPDA TSP-NICRA up-scaling programme: Acted as Co-coordinator




    II. Promotion of Agriculture Centric Sustainable Livelihood Security for Tribal Farmers of Assam for the years 2012-13, 2013-14, 2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17 and Piggery Centric TSP Project, 2018-19: Acted as Coordinators and members of Monitoring Committees for execution and monitoring of those programmes.







    IV. Also, involved in DFI programme as Nodal officer of one village, member of implementation committee of the programmes viz. NARI, KSHAMTA and other programmes implemented by the AAU in Dhemaji district.

    5. Special duties performed: External Evaluator in Gunotsav Programme conducted by SSA, Assam; External Examiner and Question paper setter at College of horticulture and Forestry, CAU, Pasighat; Subject Matter Specialist (Assessor) for the Job Role like ‘Animal Health Worker’, ‘Small Poultry Farmer’ under Agriculture Skill Council of India (ASCI) of PMKVY Programme




    6. Publication: A total of 12 numbers of Research papers, 1 Review article, 1 Thematic paper, 5 Abstracts in Conference proceedings, 1 chapter in a book, 4 nos. of Training manual, 20 chapters in Training manuals, 27 nos. of Extension Bulletins and 43 nos. of popular articles in different periodicals and news papers were published. Also act as Reviewer for reviewing 6 numbers of Research/ Review articles in scientific journals.



    a) Received 2nd Best Award for Oral presentation for the paper entitled- Productive and reproductive performances of Vanaraja birds reared by tribal community of Dhemaji district of Assam in XXXIIIth Annual Conference and Symposium org. by Indian Poultry Science Association and Department of Poultry Science, CVSc, AAU, Khanapara, Guwahati during 3-5th November, 2016.



    b) Received Best Abstract Presentation Award for presentation of paper entitled - Effect of different levels of energy on growth performances of Crossbred (Hampshire X Assam Local) pigs at 10th Animal Nutrition Conference organized by Animal Nutrition Society of India, NDRI, Karnal during 11th to 13th November, 2001 at NDRI, Karnal, Haryana.
