DR. GITESH RANJAN DAS MEMORIAL AWARD
DR. GITESH RANJAN DAS MEMORIAL AWARD FOR BEST RESEARCH IN PLANT BREEDING AND GENETICS IN NORTH EAST INDIA
The family members of late Dr. Das have graciously agreed to sponsor this Award, which will recognize the Best Researcher in Plant Breeding and Genetics in the entire North Eastern Region of India.
Eligibility Criteria:
The applicant must be an Indian citizen.
There is no age restriction.
The research work should be original, focusing on conventional and/or modern aspects of Plant Breeding and Genetics, conducted within the North Eastern Region of India.
The research outcomes must demonstrate potential to enhance production, productivity, sustainability of the production system, or significantly advance scientific knowledge in Plant Breeding and Genetics.
The applicant should have at least one research paper published or accepted in a peer-reviewed journal with a NAAS rating of 6 or above.
Once selected, the awardee will not be eligible to apply for the next five years.
Last date of submission of application is 4:00 PM, December 31, 2025
