As per the 6th Deans' Committee, students are required to complete a minimum of 10 credits through online courses, consisting of one or more courses, as a partial requirement of the Undergraduate (UG) programme. Further, as approved by the Academic Council, Assam Agricultural University (AAU), students under the Faculty of Agriculture—including Agriculture, Sericulture, and Horticulture—are permitted to undertake online courses throughout the year. In this regard, this committee has been formed to provide students with requisite guidance, register students, and offer online courses from time to time in coordination with the Academic Cell, FA, AAU, Jorhat, as well as formulate guidelines for uploading new courses on SWAYAM by AAU faculty members.
