The Dean, Faculty of Agriculture, Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat is pleased to constitute the Alumni Linkage and Student Wellness Unit (ALSWU) for the College of Agriculture and College of Sericulture of Assam Agricultural University with immediate effect and until further orders to foster sustained engagement with alumni and support students' career development and overall well-being.
Key Functions of the Unit
  • Maintain an alumni database, strengthen alumni relations, and encourage alumni participation in institutional development.
  • Support alumni networking and professional growth.
  • Organize lectures, workshops, and counselling on stress management, mental health, wellness, life-skills, substance abuse prevention, gender sensitization, and resilience.
  • Facilitate building a supportive, inclusive, and safe campus environment.
  • Liaise with departments, student bodies, NSS, NCC, alumni, industry, and other organizations to enhance student welfare, internship, entrepreneurship, career guidance, employability, and community engagement.
  • Monitor student welfare concerns and recommend appropriate interventions.
