Constituted pursuant to the 250th Academic Council meeting of Assam Agricultural University to frame a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for two-tier Recruitment & Promotion Scrutiny.
The 250th meeting of the Academic Council held on August 27, 2024 decided that scrutiny of all applications for the recruitment and promotion of faculties of the University will be done at two levels—University Level and Faculty Level—with immediate effect. At the Faculty level, the Dean is empowered to constitute the Internal Scrutiny Committee, while at the University level, the Registrar notifies the Scrutiny Committee to review the report of the Faculty-level Scrutiny Committee and recommend a course of action. The Academic Council constituted this committee to frame a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the Scrutiny Committee.
