The department of Extension Education started as a wing of the Biswanath College of Agriculture, Biswanath Chariali from February, 1988. Since then the department has been teaching undergraduate courses of extension education besides involving in research and extension activities. The department started offering PG courses in extension education from the academic session 2011-12.The teaching staff of the department is also involved in multidisciplinary courses and special coaching classes in order to enable the students to appear in various competitive examinations like JRF and other entrance examinations.
