Nematology
Department of Nematology was established since the inception of Biswanath College of Agriculture , Biswanath Chariali. The Department is offering under graduate courses both core and elective courses. The faculty of the department have been involved in providing technical supports related to academic, research and extension besides involved in various institutional building, seeds and planting material production and welfare activities. The Department in collaboration with other allied departments offers consultation and field diagnostic services more particularly nematode disease of crops and their management options.The faculty member of the Department also involved in Front -Line Demonstration, farmers scientist interaction, RAWEP, publishing popular articles related to the field of agriculture, participating radio talk, TV discussion, nematode awareness . programme which help the farming communities.. Also conducted FLD programme

  • The Department of Nematology, Biswanath College of Agriculture has been involved in teaching of Undergraduate Core and Elective Courses.

    The Department has been preparing teaching aids and practical manuals regularly.

    The Faculty of the Department involved as Co-Major Advisers and members of Advisory committee of M.Sc. Students of Department of Nematology, AAU, Jorhat.

    The Department is associated with farmers training and awareness programme of Farmers and in various participatory extension activities.
