The NSS Cell, Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat, in collaboration with the Regional Directorate of NSS, Guwahati, organised the North East NSS Festival from 23 - 27 July, 2026, with over 320 NSS Programme Officers and Volunteers from all eight North Eastern States. The festival promoted youth interaction, cultural exchange, community service, unity and national integration, celebrating the true spirit of “Not Me, But You.” Meghalaya secured the first position in the Cultural Rally Competition held on Kargil Vijay Diwas, followed by Manipur and Sikkim, while Manipur was adjudged the Best Disciplined Team of the Festival. Dr. Dipjyoti Rajkhowa, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, AAU, along with the Registrar, statutory officers and faculty members, graced the inaugural ceremony. Dr. Binoy Kr. Medhi, DSW-cum-Organising Secretary, conveyed his sincere gratitude to all participants for their valuable contribution towards the successful completion of the programme.
