Achievements
  • 1. Successfully completed three subprojects of the AICRP on PHET as PI entitled “Development of emulsion based pork products with plasma and globin as fat replacer”, “Isolation of bioactive peptides having iron binding and antihypertensive activities from slaughterhouse blood and “Development of a poultry processing cum by-product collection unit for butchers”.
  • 2. Part of team which organized 5 training programmes and one Kisan Mela (2021)for meat entrepreneurs/farmers related to different aspects of livestock products technology
  • 3. Part of team which developed different value added products from meat like solar dried meat product, spent hen meat powder, pet food from slaughterhouse waste like dog loaf and pet treat and also different machineries like mobile poultry processing cum by-product collection unit, mobile pork cutting, display cum sale cart, pedal operated meat mincer, liquid smoke production plant etc.

  • ASTEC sponsored project on "Technology generation for value added geese meat products and awareness for entrepreneurship developmentin Geese farmingin Assam : an approach towards upgrading underestimated noble sector of poultry", project cost Rs.2.90 Lakh implemented in 2022.
  • ASTEC sponsored project on "Development of a nanozinc fortified herbal mix for increased productivity in goats", project cost Rs.4.70 Lakh implemented in 2022.
