  • Received Best Krishi Vigyan Kendra Award 2014 (Zonal), Zone-III (Then) from Indian Council of Agricultural Research on 25th July, 2015
  • Received Best Trainee Award in the ICAR sponsored short course on “Agri-Business Management in Reference to Hills: Problems and Prospects” organized by College of Post Graduate Studies, CAU, Umiam, Meghalaya from 15th to 24th September, 2014
  • Recipient of Institutional (Junior Research) scholarship sponsored by Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi to prosecute Masters of Fisheries Science at Central Institute of Fisheries Education (Deemed University), Mumbai during 2009-11
  • Developed a farmers friendly set up for induce breeding of indigenous fish Kawoi (Anabas testudenous) in the year 2016-17
  • Published a book (vernacular) using field experience on magur breeding and culture technology for the benefit of farming community of the state. It is first of its kind in Assamese language and farmers of the state are using it as a handbook for magur culture.
  • Popularize induce breeding and seed production of Magur fish (Clarias batrachus) among fish breeders through induce breeding of magur in farmers field, hands on training, method demonstration, frequent visit during breeding season etc.
  • Developed a good number of youth as aquapreneur through skill training, motivation and hands on training during last decade. Organized capacity development programme on fish farming covering more than 2000 farmers in the state of Assam.
  • Publishing more than 20 scientific paper in reputed journal on field level research, 11 book chapters, 2 books, technical bulletin, numbers of popular article in widely circulated newspaper, magazine as well as in social media platform.
  • Contributed a chapter in the Package of Practices on Fisheries and Aquaculture in Assam developed by Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat and Published by Directorate of Fisheries, Govt of Assam i.e.; Package of practices for poly culture of giant freshwater prawn with carps.
  • Working as a founding admin for a Facebook Group namely সুনীল সেঁতু: মীনপালকৰ বাবে. It is a dedicated group of fish farmers and resource persons for sharing technical knowledge on responsible fish farming.   • Acted as resource person in different multimedia platform like Doordarshan, All India Radio, Guwahati and Dibrugarh, Community Radio Centre of Dibrugarh University, Facebook pages of various farming groups on scientific and commercial fish farming
  • Worked as a Junior food safety auditor under TQS Global Management System, Delhi during Commonwealth Games, Delhi, 2010
  • Recipient of Merit Scholarship sponsored by Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat from 2006-2009
