With the approval of the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Assam Agricultural University, the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) to address the complaints of sexual harassment and violence against women of AAU was reconstituted vide Notification No. AAU/RG/2.4-L(Misc.)/2024-25/15,996 dated 28.11.2024 and subsequently updated vide Order No. AAU/RG/2.4-L(Misc.)/2025-26/7207 dated 22.08.2025 nominating Dr. Swapnali Borah, Professor, Department of Resource Management & Consumer Science, College of Community Science, AAU, Jorhat as Chairperson. The committee is empowered to take up complaints from staff and students of the University and address the issues logically in the light of the directions of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in the case of Vishakha vs. the State of Rajasthan to create a safe and gender-sensitive environment.
