In pursuance of the provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, as amended by the Repealing and Amending Act, 2016 (Act No. 23 of 2016) dated 6th May 2016, the "Internal Complaints Committee" has been renamed as "Internal Committee" (IC), and with the approval of the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Assam Agricultural University, the Internal Committee (IC) of Assam Agricultural University is reconstituted with the following members to take up complaints from staff and students of the University and create a safe and gender-sensitive environment for women.
