  • Recommendation for POP

    Integrated pest and disease management module for olitorius jute

    - Soil application of Trichoderma viridae @2.5 kg/ha 9Mixed with 150 kg FYM & incubated for 48 hours in shade at the time of sowing

    - Manual weeding at 3-4 weeks after sowinh

    Hand picking & destruction of egg masses & larvae of Bihar Hairy caterpillar

    - Erection of bamboo perches@ 40 nos /ha

    - Two spray of neem oil@ 4ml/l water at 2nd week of June & 1st week of July

    - One spray of recommended insecticide (if necessary)
  • Recommendation for POP

    Storage of wheat seeds free from insect pest infestation

    - Dry wheat seeds to reduce moisture content to 11-12%

    - Mix black pepper seed powder @ 6 g/kg seed thoroughly

    Store in gunny bags impregnated with polythene in dry places
  • Recommendation for POP

    Mulching with rice straw @ 3.5 t /ha just after sowing is effective for the management of cutworm in field pea & chickpea
  • Recommendation for POP Spraying of spiromesifen 22.9 SC @ 1.25 ml/l of water at vegetative and reproductive stages of mungbean is effective against sucking pests.
  • Recommendation for PoP Chlorantraniliprole 18.5 SC @ 0.3 ml/l and Lamda cyahalothrin 5 EC @ 0.6 ml/l water is recommended for control of lepidopteran pests in jute.
  • Recommendation for PoP Stem rot and root rot in jute can be managed by seed treatment with azoxystrobin + difenoconazole @ 1ml/kg seed followed by spraying of azoxystrobin + difenoconazole @ .075 per cent at 40-45 days of crop age
