Achievements
  • In addition to involvement in teaching of UG and PG students every year for last thirty years I successfully guided fourteen number of PG students as major advisor, out of which four were PhD students. As a part of an Adhoc research project funded by DBT, Govt. of India an automated rainout- shelter phenotyping facility costing over rupees forty three lakh was established at AAU Jorhat campus, and in addition procured scientific instruments for physiological studies costing around rupees twenty eight lakhs . I was also associated with the organization of The National conference of Indian Society for Plant Physiology held on5th to 7th November 2009 and International Conference On Climate Change, Biodiversity and Sustainable Agriculture (ICCBSA-2018)held on 13-16 December, 2018 as joint secretary in both the events. I was also involved in the conduct of three numbers of ICAR sponsored winter/summer institutes at Department of Crop Physiology , AAU, Jorhat during 2011,2016 1nd 2019.
