  • Research Appreciation Certification : For Innovative product "Printing Dye from Turmeric juice" by Assam Science Society & Environmental Council, Guwahati, 2006
  • Act as an Assessor for Prime Minister Kaushal Vikas Yojana in North East Region under Radiant Infonet (P) Ltd. Dated: August, 2016- 2019
  • Served as a resource person at the International Seminar organized by the Department of Economics, SBMS College, Sualkuchi, in collaboration with the North East India Council for Social Science Research (NEICSSR), Shillong.
  • Dr. Sunita Boruah, Assistant Professor, and Principal Investigator of the ICAR-NEH project in collaboration with ICAR-NINFET, Kolkata, led the department's participation in the Natural Fiber Festival organized by ICAR-NINFET, Kolkata, under the ICAR-NEH project. Showcasing innovative textile products, the department's outstanding presentation earned them the prestigious 2nd prize in the ICAR institutions category at the National level.
  • As a Coordinator, coordinated a 15-day Faculty Development and Seri-Entrepreneurial Training Programme sponsored by the Central Silk Board (CSB), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, on Sustainable Practices in Sericulture and Surface Enhancement of Silk Fabric from 17–31 January 2025, jointly organized by Assam Agricultural University (AAU), Jorhat, and CSB-CMER&TI, Lahdoigarh.


    A total of 39 participants from academic institutions and the sericulture sector actively participated in the event.


    The programme covered sustainable sericulture practices, weaving techniques, and both traditional and modern surface enhancement methods.
  • As the Organizing Secretary, organized a two-day International Symposium-cum-Workshop on 5–6 December 2025 at AAU, Jorhat, in collaboration with CSB–CMER&TI, Central Silk Board, and ICAR–NINFET. The event recorded 178 national-level participants from academia, research, industry, startups, and government. Keynote lectures from international academic and industrial experts addressed sustainable innovations and business opportunities in natural fibres. An exhibition on natural fibre innovations showcased institutional and entrepreneurial developments.
  • Under the NEH Project, the department secured the First Prize in Oral Presentation by Ms. Priyanka Borah (PhD Scholar) under the guidance and authorship of Dr. Binita B. Kalita, Dr. Sunita Boruah, Dr. Nabaneeta Gogoi, and Dr. Smita Bhuyan; the Third Prize in Poster Presentation by Ms. Rituparna Moran, authored by Dr. Sunita Boruah; and Best Innovative Fibre Review Paper recognition by Ms. Karabi Kalita, authored by Dr. Sunita Boruah, at the National Natural Fibre Festival 2026 and the 6th National Conference on Innovations in Natural Fibre, held at ICAR–NINFET, Kolkata.
