Recommendation for POP
Protection against storage pest in pulse: Properly dried seeds of mungbean, urdbean, field pea, lentil and lathyrus should be mixed thoroughly with black pepper seed powder @ 3 g/kg seed for protection against bruchid infestation during storage. Treated seeds should be kept in poly bags with outer covering of gunny bags. -
Recommendation for POP
Mulching with rice straw @ 3.5 t/ha just after sowing is effective for management of cutworm in field pea & chickpea -
Recommendation for POP
Dusting with ash of crop residues + fine sand @ 30 kg (25 kg ash +5 kg sand) /ha just after appearance of aphid during early morning hours and need based re application at reproductive stage are most effective for the management of aphid in lathyrus -
Recommendation for POP
Spraying of spiromesifen 22.9 SC @ 1.25 ml/l of water at vegetative and reproductive stages of mungbean is effective against sucking pests. -

Recommendation: Chlorantraniliprole 18.5 SC @ 0.3 ml/l and Lamda cyahalothrin 5 EC @ 0.6 ml/l water is recommended for control of lepidopteran pests in jute. - Associated with the development of mungbean variety SGC 16
