Achivements
  • Awarded Women Scientist fellowship (DST-WoS-A) from Department of Science and Technology, Govt of India for the project "Molecular Analysis of Synchrony in Green gram (Vigna radiata L.).
  • Successfully subcloned insecticidal 1.7KB gene encoding XnGroEL protein from cloning vector into plant transformation vector. Transformed the gene into tobacco through Agrobacterium mediated transformation system and established its efficacy against Helicoverpa armigera.
  • Successfully conducted insect bio assay and molecular analyses and confirmed resistance of putative transgenic chickpea transformed with cry gene against Helicoverpa armigera during apprenticeship at International Crop Research Institute (ICRISAT), Hyderabad during Dec 2004 to March 2005.
