    The Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP) of the Netherlands Government for one year (November 1, 2007 to 31 st October, 2008) to participate in Tailor made training programme on Agro Biodiversity conservation offered by Wageningen International, the Netherlands.

  • Involved in identification, conservation of beneficial birds as a component of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and Ecofriendly management of depredatory birds in Agricultural ecosystem.






    Prepared bird checklist for agricultural landscape of Assam; AAU Jorhat campus and Birds of Dakhinpat in Majuli




    Identified 32 spider species in rice field of Assam and suggested conservation strategies to utilize for insect pest control with a view to reduce insecticide use. Introduced innovative concept of




    Utilizing beneficial insectivorous bird to control insects and rodents in crop field of Assam by designing T shaped roosting Perch , artificial Nest boxes for Barn owl, Sparrow , reduced significantly insecticide load in crop field.




    Participated in more than 400 awareness meeting, Training, field camp on environment in different educational institutes, NGO of Assam as Resource person since 1990.
