  • Received National Merit Scholarship, 1988-89 awarded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India on the basis of H.S.L.C. Examination, 1988.
  • Received ICAR Junior Research Fellowship in the subject of Plant Breeding under 1994-95 programme awarded by Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Krishi Anusandhan Bhavan, Pusa, New Delhi.
  • Qualified National Eligibility Test in Plant Breeding conducted by Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board, New Delhi in October, 1997.
  • Recipient of Certificate of Appreciation from the Vice Chancellor, Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat for developing a high yielding rice variety, Surma Dhan (AAU-KMJ-Dhan-46) which has been recommended by the Assam Agricultural University for cultivation in Assam in 2021 and Notified by the Central Variety Release Committee in 2022.
  • Developed a high yielding rice variety, Surma Dhan (AAU-KMJ-Dhan-46) with Medium Slender grain suitable for shallow lowland to semi deep-water situation during kharif. It is the first rice variety developed by AAU, Jorhat and notified by CVRC for multiple states viz., Assam, West Bengal, Bihar, Odissa and Uttar Pradesh
