Vanaraja, Kamrupa, Rainbow Roster, high yielding dual purpose duck breed Khaki Campbell, Vigova Super M, (for meat purpose) and Japanese Quail farming could be popularized among farming community of Karimganj district. After successful completion of need based OFT in the discipline of animal science, the technologies were demonstrated through FLD, afterward.
2. Besides doing work under animal science, efforts were given collectively in the field of agriculture for popularization and horizontal expansion of technologies of Sali rice paddy Ranjit, Ranjit Sub1, Bhadur, Aghoni Biroin, Bokul Joha. A total of 146 Qt, 107.26 Qt and 112.12 Qt foundation seeds were produce from, KVK, Farm during 2017-18, 2018-19 and 2019-20 year and subsequently it was sold to farmers of BVZ. Through these, horizontal spread of improve paddy seed were under taken. Inter-cropping of Rajmah with Knolkhol and cauliflower, French bean var. Arka Anoop were also popularized in the farmers of Karimganj. High yielding Toria (Rapeseed), TS-67, TS-46,; organic cultivation of many horticultural crops like okra, cabbage Pumpkin (Arjuna), capsicum, cauliflower, Assam lemon, Banana, Hybrid Napier, Papaya, Black gram (PU-31), Lathyrus, IPM in Brinjal, Broccoli, INM in rice, Toria, Summer marigold, Gerbera, Tomato, Cucurbits, TPS (Potato), were also popularized during my period.
3. The farm of KVK, Karimganj has brought to full functioning farm and different demonstration units were established i.e. Nursery unit, IFS model and are operating very efficiently. We have also started a KVKs farm produce sale point near our KVK main gate. We are also producing/conducting certified seed production for paddy at our campus and the produced seed are used to sale to entire BVZ (that include at the three district of the BVZ). From farms, good revenues is being generated and is being deposited to the University Account every year. Moreover, Fodder demo unit, Bio-fertilizer unit during my period were also devolved. Full function demo units were, Horti. Nursery, Azolla, Seed hub, Poultry hatchery, IFS model, Poultry unit, Duckery, Goatery, Dairy, Poly house, Guava Lucknow-49 unit, Hydrofonic unit, Vermicompost, Mushroom unit, composite fishery unit, Zero energy cool chamber, constructed small IFS model in front of KVK main building were also available and functional during my period.
4. A “Pulse Seed Hub” programme successfully started during my tenure and are being successfully running. We are generally producing Rajmah and Black gram seeds exclusively and the entire farmers of BVZ are being benefitted from the pulse Seed Hub. We are taking the programme in 50-70 hector area and producing the certified seeds for the farmers of BVZ.
5. We are having a 500 capacity poultry hatchery units at KVK farm producing chicks (Vanaraja/ Rainbow Roster/ Kamrupa) and are being supplied/sale to the farmers of BVZ.
6. More than dozens of progressive farmers and few enterpreneurs in poultry rearing, Quail farming, duck farming, Horticulture, diversified agriculture, Organic Cultivation, Mushroom Cultivation etc could be developed in the district. Out of these, farm few of them could be able to get recognition at district and state level as well.
7. Besides this many programme/projects like CFLD Pulses (NFSM) and Oilseed (NMOOP), Pulse Seed Hub, Soil Health Card scheme of Govt. of India, PKVY, NEH, ASCI, STRY, NFDB, CMSGUY (Chief Ministers Samagra Gramya Unnayan Yojana) under this skill training, demonstration and growth performance of improved fish varieties Jayanti Rohu and Amur Common Carp under NFDB agency were handled successfully.
8. We have published KVK, Newsletter, Extension Bulletins, Training manual as well as wide news coverage of different activities was done during my period through print and electronic media.
9. We have submitted 8 nos of projects to DC, Karimganj under MSDP project approximate amount Rs. 164 lakhs and it is under pipe-line and likely to be implemented very soon.
10. DFI village: Brojendra Nagar, Karimganj 100 nos of farm family covered under this programme and we have conducted many demo programme in this village.
11. We have developed many kitchen gardens for nutritional security purpose in farmer’s field. We have developed value added products from fruits and veg. fish and meat as well. We have developed / demonstrated IFS model in farmers’ field and more than dozens we have conducted programme under fishery science like, IFS with duck, poultry, integrated–Horti-fish farming, ornamental fish culture, pabda with IMC and exotic carps in poly culture system, Jayantiarohu and Amur common carp.
12. During my tenure our horticulture nursery was renovated / restarted into a full functional stage (Karimganj)
13. Shifting from rented house to new KVK campus at Gelaidingi on 18.11.2021(Darrang)


14. An android app “Pathar Bazar” & "Forage Crops Grower App" had been developed and launched in the month of Oct, 2022 & 06.07.2023 (No. of downloads: More than 1200)


15. Above 60 advisories had been sent among 1900 registered farmers of Kisan Sarathi


16. KVK, Darrang YouTube channel had been created and published around 10 videos during this year


17. 80 Nos. of plants had been planted under CMIPP in KVK, Farm

19. 6 Nos. of Input Dealer Training had been conducted among 150 participants


20. Potato contract farming with PEPSICO by one of the FPC named Besimari Farmer Producer Company promoted by KVK, Darrang. Export of Lablab (Dolichos) beans to London by Seujmukhi Agro Producer Company.
